'lindsay & richard: a lovely autumn afternoon.' muskoka, ontario.

Venturing north of Toronto into the fiery scenery that is Muskoka in the autumn was awesome enough, but add to that such a wonderful couple as Lindsay & Richard and it definitely had all the makings of a lovely day. As always, the photography was natural and real, with the people just left to be themselves for images that are true and meaningful, with real expressions and real moments. For the photo session I used my eye for light to chose a back-lit wall of colourful trees, and then just let the couple spend time together, away from the whirlwind of the day, a few moments in which they could share and cherish it all, and during which I could compose and craft natural photographs. Authenticity always makes for the best photographs, which is why I am so passionate in bringing my style of documentary photography to the world of weddings. It is photography with soul. We brought my approach to their rainy pre-wedding session (from which I'll include a few photographs to start things off) and kept the authenticity going on the wedding day itself. Natural. Real. And, for the wedding, a lovely autumn afternoon!
